Mishmish is honored to return to the soulful KlezKolorado Retreat in 2025!
KlezKolorado is a weekend-long Klezmer festival that centers local and national Klezmer acts, Yiddish culture, workshops, and Colorado’s Jewish community. We want to highlight the burgeoning Klezmer revival in Denver, Boulder, and beyond, and create a new space for Yiddishists to gather and celebrate our culture.

Festo Festo is a community space where bands, dancers, singers and other artists from the greater Balkan community come together, once a month, to celebrate Balkan culture! We have a new location for this year's Purim Party; TABLE PUBLIC HOUSE! This hidden gem will host our celebration. Expect music from the Jewish punk band THE HAMANTASCHENS and the brand new MISHMISH, a Balkan/Middle Eastern dance band! Rabbi Yossi will read the whole megillah at 7:30! Trivia, kosher wine tasting and an open bar will all be on the table from 7-11. YES COSTUMES ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGED!

MishMish is joining the JCC Denver at the second annual Hanukkah extravaganza, Latkes and Lights. We will be playing themed games, purchasing goodies to gift for Hanukkah, listening to live music, munching on a variety of latkes, and voting for your favorite staff menorah.
Latkes and Lights will once again feature a much-anticipated Latke Competition. Restaurants and citizens will be in separate categories. Featuring Turkish, Greek, Romanian, Armenian, and Middle Eastern tunes, these bands will take the audience on a mesmerizing musical journey through the Balkan Region and beyond!
KlezKolorado, May 17 - 19, will be an experience unlike any other. Through concerts and workshops, we'll immerse ourselves in the rich tapestry of Klezmer music, explore its profound themes, and celebrate the resilience of the human spirit. The festival is open to all ages with a variety of program offerings, some catered to adult learning, and a selection for families and children.
